Garage Door Broken Spring Repair
Did you know that garage door springs and cables account for 85% of all garage door failures? Replacing these cables and springs on your own is highly dangerous and there have been several accounts of homeowners severely injuring themselves in this process
For this reason, we strongly advise you to contact one of our local technicians in your area (phone numbers listed below) and schedule a service call for them to get the job done in the safest way possible. Your family’s safety is our highest priority.
Extension and Torsion Springs Service
There are two main types of springs that are installed on residential doors, each serving the purpose of lifting your door up and down. Torsion springs are installed right above the center of the garage door. Extension springs are installed above each track, to the left and right of the door.
Garage doors are heavy and put a great deal of pressure and tension on each spring. If a spring were to ever snap, the safety cables would prevent the door from collapsing and potentially fall on a vehicle or worse, someone inside the garage.
